What's on your vial?

Look at your vial label. It will say something like 5 mg. That is the total amount of peptide inside.

mg = milligrams, the total peptide in your vial
3

How much water did you add?

You mixed your peptide with bacteriostatic water (BAC water). Select the amount you added.

How to Prepare Your Injection

1
🧼

Wash your hands

Wash thoroughly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Dry with a clean towel. This is the most important step for preventing infection.

2
🧴

Clean the vial top

Wipe the rubber stopper on your vial with an alcohol swab. Let it air dry for a few seconds. Do this every time you draw from the vial.

3
💧

Reconstitute if powder

If your peptide is a freeze-dried powder, draw the correct amount of bacteriostatic water into a syringe. Insert the needle into the vial and slowly push the water down the inside glass wall. Do not squirt directly onto the powder.

4
🔄

Gently swirl to dissolve

Roll the vial gently between your palms until the powder is fully dissolved and the liquid is clear. Never shake the vial — shaking can damage the peptide molecules.

5

Store in the refrigerator

Once mixed, store the vial upright in your refrigerator (not the freezer). Most reconstituted peptides are good for up to 28 days. Write the date on the vial with a marker.

6

Draw and inject your dose

Clean the vial top again. Draw your prescribed number of units (use the calculator above). Inject subcutaneously into your lower abdomen or outer thigh. Rotate injection sites each time.

Common Questions

What if I added too much or too little water?

If you added more water than intended, your concentration is lower and you will need to draw more liquid per dose. If you added less, your concentration is higher and you draw less. Use the calculator above with the actual amount of water you added to get the correct dose volume. The total peptide in the vial does not change regardless of how much water you add.

Where should I inject?

Most subcutaneous peptide injections go into the fatty tissue of your lower abdomen (at least 2 inches from your belly button) or the front/outer thigh. Pinch a small fold of skin, insert the needle at a 45-degree angle, and push the plunger slowly. Rotate your injection site each time to avoid irritation or lumps.

What size needle should I use?

For subcutaneous injections, a 29-gauge or 31-gauge insulin syringe with a half-inch needle is standard. These are thin and short, designed for comfort. Your pharmacy will typically provide the appropriate syringes with your prescription. If purchasing separately, ask for "insulin syringes, 1 mL, 29G or 31G, 1/2 inch."

What time of day should I inject?

This depends on the peptide. BPC-157 and TB-500 can be taken any time of day. Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are typically once weekly at the same time each week. CJC-1295/Ipamorelin is often taken before bed on an empty stomach. PT-141 is taken 45 minutes to 2 hours before intimacy. Always follow your provider's specific timing instructions.

What if I miss a dose?

For daily peptides, take the missed dose as soon as you remember unless it is nearly time for your next dose — in that case, skip it and continue your regular schedule. For weekly injections like Semaglutide, take it within 48 hours and then resume your normal day. Never double up on doses. Contact your provider if you are unsure how to proceed.

Can I reuse the vial?

Yes. Multi-dose vials are designed to be used over multiple injections until the peptide runs out. Always clean the rubber stopper with an alcohol swab before each use. Use a brand new syringe every single time — never reuse needles. Once reconstituted, most peptides should be used within 28 days and kept refrigerated between 36–46°F (2–8°C).
